Is it possible to capture video in Premiere from a DVD playing on my PC? thanks.

you can not capture video directly from the dvd into Premiere. You have to use a software to convert the dvd into a videofile that Premiere supports. And then import that video into Premiere.

thanks for reply. which software is good for this purpose?

But you can also connect your dvd player to your videocamera (if you have one, and that the camera got a AV input) and then get the picture form the dvd, through the camera and into the computer with Firewire cable.

Virtual Dub (free downkload) should be able to convert the VOB files from the DVD into something more useful for editing.
