Question in arcserve 2k is it possible for me to back up some computer files across my network to a partion on a hard drive on my main server? If so how?

basically here is what i would like to do:

server a & server b are in different towns, both have about 1 gig of data files I would like backed up. but I would like to back them up on to server c at our main office (3rd location) on its g drive this is then backed up each night on tape.

The back up would take place at night when no one is in and the locations all have point to point T1s so I dont think that network slow downs would cause any trouble. also one the first full back up in in place i would just append the data every night except for friday when I would want a full backup of the files.

Thanks

Hi Steve,

This is possible eith ARcserve 2000.
However you need to apply Sp4 onto ARCserve.

After applying sp4, run the device configuration and configure a FS device(File System).

This acts as a tape device and you'd be able to backup on the HDD.
