I'm publishing my PDF on the web and I would like it if people could enter in prices in certain places on the pdf and have them add up in a totals section.
Is this possible?? how do i enable data entry? and can i add a formula for sum?
How are you creating your PDF? In the "full" versions, you can create forms, and add JavaScript to manipulate form values.
Users can fill out the forms with any version of Acrobat. However, Reader cannot save the form locally. It can submit the form back to the server, either as an FDF, or in plain HTML format (which is my preference).
well..the pdf is created from a word document that i just print to adobe. I should have the "full" version..but after it's already created, how do i add the java etc..??
You need to upgrade to the "Professional" version if you are going to create forms. There might be some 3rd party tools out there for form creation, that would allow you to direclty add "form elements" to the raw PDF file.
