I went to the tn's and forwarded a large group of numbers to external numbers. Originally these numbers all hunted to each other. Now I get busy signals. Does the hunting need to be in the switch that maintains these other numbers (off site) or is there something I can do at my end? Thanks,

Call forwarding & hunting are mutually exclusive. It's one or the other NOT both! You should check the quantity of outgoing trunks in the route your calls are using, that may be your bottle neck. Also does your destination for these calls have sufficient capacity for the added traffic? These items could be a source for the busies.....

Hope this helps!

That's what I thought. Too bad noone agrees with me. The temporary numbers that they are forwarded to come from telco, so maybe telco can place those numbers in a hunt group?? Or maybe I'm confused again. Either way, thanks.

You probaly don't have CFXA in the phones CLS and check CDB for CFF or CFO.

Oh no, it's not the forwarding part. Sorry to confuse you. They are forwarding correctly. It's the hunting that isn't working.

CFXA in the phones CLS and check CDB for CFF or CFO.

either of those will give you a busy signal. hunt only kicks in on a busy ext, so the hunt is not in play unless your forwarded to a busy station. then the station is busy and hunt should work. you don't need to remove hunt, the cfw will work once you check ace's post.. congestion will give you a busy. if those are did numbers, you can use ld 49 idc to send them back out, even if they are removed from the switch. if it's not working internal it's the cfxa prompt, if it's not working from an external inbound call it's in the cdb (ld 15) ld 21 prt cdb and check rdr and opt data

If you have them Call forwarded they will never hunt in your switch. If you want the external numbers to hunt each other, you need to talk to the local phone company to do that.
