Can GroupWise 5.5e use a fake ID in From: box 1

We have a web based application that provides a link to a certian email account in GroupWise. Several different people use this email account and want to be able to personalize the return email by putting their name in the From box. Is this possible?

if you replace the name in the from box, it will just append the real account to it inside brackets.
i.e. Jane Doe (John Doe)
any replies will still come back to the original account.

I did catch one "Inventive" user trying to forge the From: field. What he did was pad the From: field with spaces. It just pushed the real name out of the viewing field when the recipient got it.
