Can Data Access Pages access mdb's on an web server?

Hello everyone,
I have been using the Data Access Pages feature within MSACCESS with great success. However, I am attempting to move the data to a web server accessable with HTTP and FTP. In the dialog boxes within access data access pages it allows the entry of '

HTTP://...'

but I cannot get it to connect to the datasource. Is this an impossibility within access? Do I need to code asp in order to accomplish this?

I'm working on trying to do this as well, I think a decent tutorial can be found at:

I'm waiting for webhost4life.com to make the necissary changes on their side before I know if it has worked or not though

I had this same problem. The solution is to use a UNC path when identifying the data source. It should look something like this:

\\webroot\foldername$\dbname.mdb

Also, be sure to make the folder shared, as this allows other users to access it.
