can anyone tell me how to setup pop

can anyone tell me how to setup pop3 (on my exch 5.5 on a nt server and on the client side as well.)so that some office people can pop into our server to get email. I tried what i thought was right but when the user tried it comes back with
"Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted."
and I don't know what is wrong

you need to enable pop on the server side in the exchange admin, and depending on how you set this up, you can also control which users have access to the pop account from outside the office by going into thier mailbox properties...the user id will be displayname/domainloginid/domainpassword...hope i have this right, but then the user should be able to retrieve the email remotely.
