Can a Sharepoint 3 Server still function as a web server?

I did some experimenting under Sharepoint 2, and had the Sharepoint sites and "normal" sites side-by-side on the same box. I just set the "normal" sites as excluded paths, and they functioned as normal. Now, under Sharepoint 3, it seems that there is no such thing as an excluded path.

Who would I go about having sharepoint sites and standard IIS 6.0 sites coexisting on the same server?
