Hi

I am using CE 9 and Sybase 12.x. I am trying to delete a parameter under the parameter fields explorer. The parameter is not used in any formula. I am unable to delete the parameter.

How do I delete the parameter?

Thanks!

Is the parameter coming from a Stored Procedure?

If so, you can't delete it.

If not, then it's being used somewhere and can be deleted, you'll just have to figure out where it is.

Do an export to a Report Definition type and search the text file created for your parm.

Yes, it's coming from a proc. Can I change the type for the parameter then? It is a number and I need to change the type to a string. How?

Thanks!

If you always want the parameter to be a string and you have access to the stored procedure you can easily change it there. If that is not an option you could always create a formula in crystal like CStr({?@YourParameter}). This will convert the parameter to a string.
