I´ve got and option 11c rls. 25.40 with high traffic, when I go to LD 43 It appears:

>ld 43
BACKGROUND SESSION 0 ABORTED.
EDD000

If I try invoke the data dump EDD It does nothing, It donesn´t work any command in LD 43 (DAT, EDD CLR etc), I dont know if the EDD midnight routing It´s working.
Any idea for this problem?

Stop trying to do an EDD, let the system run over night and them go
LD 22
REQ PRT
TYPE AHST

After it prints, look to see if it did a backup. I never remove LD 30 from my MIDS so it tests the phones every night.

Yes I spotted that one.

Do you get the following messages

MPLR16549 -- X11 25.30 -- TDS514, TDS830 during midnight routine

MPLR16560 -- X11 25.30 -- NWS204 OUTPUT DURING DROL--LD 30,

Here in the UK, The NCR value is set to 1750, not 800. Here are some of the PARM settings..

PARM
LPIB 172
HPIB 64
500B 100
DTIB 70
DTOB 70
NCR 1750
MGCR NULL
CSQI 200
CSQO 200

I think that you should change the 6 settings as listed above. This should improve system performance.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

This is what mine is set to and it's been 5 years with no problems.

LPIB 192
HPIB 32
500B 16
NCR 216
MGCR NULL
CSQI 036
CSQO 036

We only use the settings that Nortel have advised my company to use. Anyway the top 2 settings for LPIB & HPIB that Lexer has are even lower than your setings Acewarlock!.

i.e.

PARM
LPIB 96
HPIB 16
500B 16
DTIB 0
DTOB 0

I still think that some of the PARM settings should be changed to a higher setting.

Since it is saying background aborted have you tried taking 44 out of the drol. You are already running it as background.

I don't see no reason as suggested by J Henley above, about removing "44" from BKGD and DROL. Although this might stop the problem, it won't explain what was causing it.

I have a question for Lexer!. Can you recall what was done to the 11c prior to the problem starting?. Was any programming carried out, or any patches fitted?.

I captured the PBX start and The PBX is sendind messages that some cards are faulty a:

NPR029 : 036 0 00 09
NPR029 : 016 0 00 15
NPR029 : 016 0 00 05

TTY 00 SCH MTC BUG 9:47
OVL111 MIDN 30
>IOD040 05

NWS401 4 : -0 -1 -2 -4 -10 -11 -13 -14

NWS301 -5 -6

These errors explain why the PBX stays in DROL 30, Some cards or ports doens´t pass LD 30.
This PBX has 5 shelves, I dont Know If It´s a good idea to start the PBX just with the SSC card?

Try outing LD 30 from the midnights, do an INI and then
let it run midnights and see if you have the same, if not
then you can put 30 back in DROL.
