Can´t Invoke data dump (EDD)

I´ve got and option 11c rls. 25.40 with high traffic, when I go to LD 43 It appears:

BACKGROUND SESSION 0 ABORTED.
EDD000

If I try invoke the data dump EDD It does nothing, It donesn´t work any command in LD 43 (DAT, EDD CLR etc), I dont know if the EDD midnight routing It´s working.
Any idea for this problem?

Does the system do an EDD during MIDs if you have made changes during the day? As you can see above I don't have 43 in my MIDs.

LD 47 IS THE MAX HSL DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM THAT WE CANNOT INVOKE BUT OBVIOUSLY RUNS WHEN PROBLEMS DETECTED ON MAX HSL GIVES OUT THE AMH ERRORS
THIS SHOULD BE QUITE INSTANT
BUT IN CASE REPORTED THE S/W APPEARED TO BE STUCK IN 47
INI DID NOT CLEAR BUT SYSLOAD DID


Another thing is to turn "Multi User" from ON to OFF in LD 17 under OVLY & to remove 30 from DROL.

I had to do this myself on a Option 81 Rlse 25.40b two days ago!. The system would not allow me to enter any Mntce overlay such as LD 43. Even the EDD that the switch did after a reboot stopped halfway down the screen. I had to to a warm start & then make the 2 changes in LD 17 as listed above, followed by a "EDD" in LD 43.
I then did another reboot to make sure that the background routines stopped. It did!.

I had forgot this issue, I re-take it again and I tried firts to set:

MULTI_USER OFF

then I removed from OVRL: DROL x30

Now I can´t load any overlay, Do I have to wait until midnight to see what happend?

the PBX just send me OVL000 (already login) after typing ****, I can´t logout or load a LD, If I make an INI I`m going to lost my last programming?

You don't lose programming with an INI, but you do lose it if you SYSLOAD.

An INI takes about 20 Sec or less. I doubt removing 30 from the DROL will fix your problem, but if you wait long enough the system will INI on it's own or SYSLOAD if it's bad enough.

In the original post you state that the OPT.11 has high traffic. Its been 9+ years for me and I only work on the Large M1 systems but I believe that I remember that the system will give Call Processing priority over all other system functions, is the high traffic normal for the system? Or are you like me and having to manage system’s that has been slammed for the last 12 days due to the “Ice Storm of the Century”.
You also state in a latter post that the system will not log you off or load a different overlay, are you seeing any other slow responses by the system lick slow key response on digital set or slow dial tone?
or could it be that you have a bad back up Disk?

If he is having those problems, the system will INI on it's own sooner or later. I have an Opt 11C that has all 4 Expansions cab filled. The last time I did an INI it took 9 Sec. I didn't get any complaints from anyone.

I`ve got an 11c option rls. 25.40, All telehones and trunks are working OK, It´s just that I cannot acces the PBX

I also have an option 11C 25.40B. Doing a INI will only stop new calls from being made for about 20 sec, it will not interupt calls already talking.

I did an INI and the PBX still didn´t give access, I had to do a sysload and reprogram the last changes, After sysload I can access the PBX but I cannot run the EDD, When I`m logged out the PBX send me and OVLY here the post:

I look into the manual, The PBX is running LD 30, Any idea the how can I stop this LD 30 (Sysload didn´t stop ld 30)?

When you do a SYSLOSD the system will run the MIDS, let the system complete then and then login.you may need to reset the time on the system in LD 2.

I seem to remember that changing a setting in DROL on V25.4x does not take effect until a EDD & a reboot has been done. Of course, this is pretty difficult when you can't even login!. The only thing to do is to reboot the switch & wait until you can log back in. Then do an INI to stop the midnight routines.
You should then be able to login, go to LD 17, OVLY. X30 from DROL & set Multi user to OFF. Next do a EDD, followed by a reboot. I would hope that this would clear "30" from the midnights?.

If you do a SYSLOAD and want to stop the DROL, thats when you do a INI.
