Hi, well mi problem is that I cant install win98, I have already formated mi HD, and installed the boot disk. my problem is that I cant run the exe files (setup.exe) on the win98 Cd, I can see the .exe files when I type dir but I cant run them, although my system accepts the cd drive, please help, thenks

have you tried booting to the win98 cd ?? Anywhere is walking distance if you have the time.

Booting from the CD is excellent advice if your system supports it, otherwise, what actually happens when you try to run setup.exe, do you get an error messge or what? I think we need a bit more information. All things are possible except skiing through a revolving door.

as a command line create a temp folder and copy win98 from cd to your temp folder. after that try to run a setup from your temp folder. good luck

Is the CD you are using a restore CD or a Win98 CD? Are you using a 98 boot disk, this will boot up so you can select cdrom loading. After that cd to the d or what ever your cd drive is and type setup. You may need to compleatly remove all partitions and reboot and recreate them. Format and try again. The next thing to do is boot to a Win98 disk and copy the Win98 folder from the cd to your harddrive. It will make installing and adding stuff latter alot easyer.
