Cambex and p690

I am trying to find out more information on the issue with Cambex PC2000 cards not supporting hot swapping in a p690. Cambex doc's say that the server has to be shut down, does anyone have experience with these cards and this model server?

I recieved a reply from Cambex. Hot swapping is supported using smit, but cfgmgr can not recognize the card until the LPAR is restarted. This was a much better response than the documentation said of having to shut down the server.
