Hello. I'd like to preface this with a hearty thank you for all the experts and users on this forum. You taught me everything I knew about the old Avaya system I inherited, and helped me to know more about phone systems than I thought I'd ever have to know.

Now the meat of the matter. We moved over to a Mitel 5000 system recently and I've been made aware of a problem. When a user is on the phone and a call rings in it goes straight to voicemail. My vendor claims that there is a flag that can be set on a phone by phone basis that causes this behavior. So, being the intrepid guy I am, I thanked him and started poking around at the system. I was comparing Site A (with the problem) with Site B (which doesn't have this problem). For the life of me I cannot find a difference between them. So can anyone point me at the correct flag for this?

Many Thanks

Check system forwarding (phone-related flag), forwarding paths (phones) and system forwarding paths (phone-related info).

Thanks Sarond! Turns out that this was because the Forwarding Path for the user was set to go straight to voicemail if the line was busy. Also, apparently this is actually a problem at all our sites, but nobody ever mentioned it. Solved now though!
