Never had this happen before.

just defaulted a NAM 4.0 on a MICS and setup from a STARTUP.

PRI set to answer main line 157 at all times. Once the calls is answered it transfers calls to the correct DN after 3 rings instead of the DN's personal MB greeting answering the caller hears the main menu AA greeting again.

If I dial the DN from another set I WILL hear the personal greeting and can leave a message.

I have checked the CFNA DN and it is set to the NAM I checked the F985 and it says the correct DN for the NAM.

Any idea why this is happening?

Thanks!

The Transfer Callback feature returns the call to the automated attendant before the Call Forward No Answer feature can send the call to the voice mailbox.

In programming, look at the following settings:

Terminals & Sets > [DN] > Capabilities > Forward No Answer > Forward Delay
System Programming > Feature Settings > Transfer Callback

The Transfer Callback must be greater than the Forward Delay (so that the Forward happens before the Callback).

Yes I have that set already for 12. If I set the CFNA to just 2 it will ring the DN for 2 rings but still route the caller back to the Main Menu

Here is something I tried. I placed the set on Do not Disturb and the personal greeting picks up when dialing the DID number or being transferred by the AA.

When you turn on Do Not Disturb, the set is considered busy. Call Forward on Busy may be forwarding the call to the voicemail.

You can compare the 2 following settings to see if it is the case:

Terminals & Sets > [DN] > Capabilities > Forward No Answer > Forward To
Terminals & Sets > [DN] > Capabilities > Forward on Busy

Go to F983, press 8 and tell Redirect DN to = NO instead of Yes.

I logged onto F983 and presses ( 8 ) and no options came up. I have seen that on a CP but I am not sure if this is on a NAM 4.0

I checked the DN for the NAM which is 2999 I thought that since each set CFNA to 2999 perhaps 2999 was programmed wrong maybe it was also set to CFNA back to itself but these fields are empty.

It seems like the calls are properly forwarding to the NAM but the NAM at that point drops the ball and just still keeps playing the Main AA Menu

Thank you but I'm not sure how to get it inside thr NAM because the only avenue would be the floppy disk drive

You must be running MICS 5.0. It needs the patch in the NAM or upgrade the NAM to 4.1 and change redirect to no..

I have a Nam 4.1 in stock this is a small installation was only less than 10 users so that would be the more logical solution thank you

MICS 7.0 and NAM 4.0. Understand that I will need NAM 4.1
