Calls going to General Mailbox

Hello,

I setup a phone that will forward calls to the voice mail port when there is no answer. However, call go to the general mailbox, not to the users mailbox.
What else do i need to do do so that calls go to the user's mailbox?

usually that happens because the mailbox you created isn't assigned to the correct extention number. Also make sure the mailbox has been initialized.

 
login to the mailbox using f981 press * for login enter mailbox number+0000 change default password and record user's name in mailbox. This will initialize the mailbox.
 
If your mail box was initiallized, you may want to check the number of rings the voicemail answers and the number of rings you have on the set under Set, Capabilities, forward no answer. Make sure that this ring equals or greater then the voicemail is answering, if they are lower then set 221 which usually handles general delivery picks up the call.
