I have a BCM 400 running 3.6 software.
I unplugged a couple phones while furniture was being changed out.
Calls come into these sets via DID.
After a day or two, calls quit going to voice mail for the disconnected phones and the caller received the message, the party you are trying to reach is unavailable (or something to that effect).
So far all of this makes sense, However...
Right after that stock message, the call immediately goes to CCR Tree one.
Any ideas why this is and how I can stop this from happening?
I tried turning off Return To Auto Attendant and it seemed to have no effect.
I have no System Operator and General Delivery Mailbox is disabled.
Also I have the target lines programmed to transfer to Prime if Busy, Prime DN is the Call Pilot DN. I suspect this has something to do with it, but I cannot figure out why it decides to go to CCR tree 1.

why do you want it primed to VMDN instead of the extension itself?

That being said,
Does it go to CCR menu on certain time of day or always?

Was anything changed on the redirect DN settings in hte CP

That's just what it does. If no VM, system will respond - the person you have called is unavailable, and then go directly into tree 1 IF General Delivery is disabled, or if it is enabled, it will say the same thing and then go into general delivery voicemail. It seems like in flash, there was something to turn off return to tree.

Alternatively, you could change the DN to your operator ext instead of Call Pilot, or you could create a new mailbox and record an announce only message - the extension you dialed is invalid, please check your number and try again, or something of that sort.

I was sending the prime to Voice mail so that if the caller was busy on both their Target line Appearances (Ring only - 2, 2 ITCM Buttons) The caller would go to Voice mail instead of receive busy signal. Would do the same thing if the set itself was the prime set for the target line?

The calls go there, as far as I can tell, all the time after the phone has been unplugged for awhile.
The only night mode I have set is for call routing and it is always set (Manual)

Redirect DN settings in the Call Pilot?

I'm not sure what feature you are referring to unless it is the settings in the mailbox itself and no, nothing was changed there. We had 5 phones unplugged and they all did the same.

The interesting thing is that, at first, when you unplug the phone, the calls continue to go to voice mail. I guess there is some sort of sanity check for when then phone is unplugged that eventually disables the port and no longer allows it to go to VM...?

Anyway,

Thanks cigar.
I assume you mean put that recording in the General Delivery Mailbox? Is there a way to prevent callers from leaving messages in the General Delivery Mailbox?

Or I guess I could move what is in CCR tree 1 to a different tree and then just record that greeting in CCR tree with no menu options. I assume this would do the same thing...?

No, I was referring to creating a message for the specific DN(s) in CP, rather than the General Delivery Mailbox. However, what you suggested regarding the Tree 1 would work, and is a good idea. I like that one, and might try that on ours.
