I'm having calls being dropped after a few minutes of people being placed on hold. I'm on 3.0.65 - this is just a recent issue - I have been running this version a few years without any similar issues. It seems if someone calls a hunt # and are placed on hold the call is dropping after a few minutes. Any ideas?

is you hold timeout the time it is on hold before it disconnects, I think by default 120 seconds, because after that time it should ring back to the user that put the call on hold in case they forgot the call.

>I think by default 120 seconds

Nope, the default hold time is 15 seconds

What sort of phoen are you using - do you know what the hook flash time is for that set. If it exceeds the value set on the IPO (usually 100mS) you may, in effect, be hanging up the call when you place the call on hold by pressing R.

Look it up in the doc for the handset...

Also 3,0,69 is an old version (and IMHO) the 3.0 series of software was a bit not very good..... It may be advisable to get your BP to bring the software up to a newer version....

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

The phones are 4412D and 4406's. I keep it on that version because I was an early adopter of the initial release and remember how buggy it was. I feel confident on this release so I have been holding off on the upgrade.

It won't be a hook flash issue then...

>I feel confident on this release so I have been holding off on the upgrade.

Fair enough, the upper 3.0's were better....

A reboot has fixed many problems over the years, always worth a shot. Hard reboot by unplugging the units and plugging it back in, just make sure the processor (usually top unit) is getting powered up last so it sees all other units live
