CallPilot Transfer Issues (Failures)

Good day, on some call transfer blocks I transfer calls to Germany and the UK, unfortunately sometimes there is a pause before the call gets transferred and callpilot see this as a failure (no ring back) and pulls the call back with a message your call can not be transferred at this time (Which SUCKS!) I need this to work, OR the call has to go to either its fail or busy option which it doesn't. (Who came up with this) I called my interconnect and was told there is no way for them to remove the supervision on the call transfers or to have CallPilot call that DN and hang up. I have tried entering the direct number in the call transfer field which fails also. (I would like to continue using just the DN which uses DMI to call off site.)

Has anyone run into this problem, is there a way around it?

I have been told that this happens due to variable length number to the UK and DE because there is the End-Of-Dial pause, CallPilot only seems to wait ~2 1/2 ring cycles to hear a ring back on the other side before it fails with error message. How do I either increase the length that CallPilot waits before fail, or decrease End-Of-Dial pause?

Any help?
Thanks...

Hi,

You use a DMI to dial the number in DE, right? Try adding a # (And of dial) at the end of the number

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

I can do that for items in a transfer box, but I can't do that for the Dial_By_Ext box. What do I do for user that call in and use the dial_by_ext to get specific users in UK and DE?

how many numbers are you talking about? their may be a easy work around if you make the number a maxp1 acd, using a soft number and sending it to the actual ext with the ncfw prompt, calling the acd number the switch will give you ring back while the carrier sets up the call, transfer to a remote user with across pri takes less then one second so the timeout is way to fast for that instance..

Talking about ~250-300 numbers, So I really don't want to setup that many numbers. This is also affecting calls that goto the US <add andother 300 numbers>(I'm in Canada) but less often to the US, the UK and DE numbers are what I'm having the most problems with. It only happens 2 out of every 10 tries, But still I can't put a system in place that is good ~80% of the time.

I had these applications running for about 4 hours and then moved all the call flow back over to MerMail and have received aprox 80 e-mails and way to many people comming over to my desk asking what was going on.

that's why i have a lock on the switch room door, your right, if the numbers are scarttered all over the dn range it's to big to handle,.. you could add a expensive route beep or rtrn=yes just to mark call progress..

Can you tell me where I would add that beep... I'll give it a shot... is that a LD 87/90 item.

I figureded there would be somewhere in the CallPilot engin that you would be able to change the wait time from 2-3 rings... it only needs to be ~1s longer....
