Hi,

I require assistance with the configuration to allow a outlook callpilot subscriber to send a fax. I have configured the express line etc and successfully receive faxes.

Thank you

Looking at the document you want to send go to printers and select the Nortel Fax printer after it opens enter the access code and phone # to send if sending to several fax machines seperate the numbers with a coma.

This info is in the doc's section of the doc wizard.

Thanks, but I had difficult with the actual configurations and got it working by create an outdial and associating a line. My VM DN is 2250 and I noticed the fax was attempted from DN 2249.

Is this the correct configuration method?

VM DN 2250 is the Pilot DN of the VM. Each port will have it's own DN's, so 2249 is just another port within your VM.

Outdial and line works. DO your VM ports have access to the line pool? That could be why it didn't work in the first place.

Hello MagnaRGP,

The pool was associated and I was only able to use a line for the outdial as the PRI (BLOC-A) isn't accepted and neither a route on my version 3.7 system.

Thanks for the help.

Bloc-A is 4.0/BCM 50 terminology, not 3.7. You should have outdial in the mailbox set for route (no number needed). Then when sending a fax enter in the number just as if you are dialing it from a phone (9,XXX). All VM ports need access to PRI-A (BCM 3.X terminology).

I forgot to mention....ensure that the mailbox CLASS has outdial permissions as well.

Brain fart on Monday morning...who'da thunk it?
