CallPilot rls 5,600r

Hi all,I am going to install call pilot 600r, rls 5 with 11c. It is my first time with 600r installation. Before installaton could some body advise some important thing and whats the main difference between 201i and 600r.

The primary difference between the 600R and the 201I is that the 600R requires an additional cable & media card to integrate with the CS1000. The 201I requires neither cable nor card, as it is "in skin." There are also hardware differences (memory, harddrive space, etc.) between the 600R and 201I.

As far as features, there is no difference. Both will process voicemail, both can be used to integrate with other applications like Contact Center, both can provide voice applications like auto-attendants, both can integrate with MyCallPilot, both work with CallPilot Reporter, both support Desktop Messaging, etc.

There are differences in the features that your CallPilot will have, depending on what your current software release is.

Also make sure that when you install, on first boot that you have a SCSI terminator in the rear as it defaults to boot off scsi drive.

Since I'm heading the same direction sometime this spring (two systems, 200i and 201i to 600r), is the gateway card that goes in the switch a one slot or a two slot card? Doing a bit of advance planning as to whether I'm going to have to make room for a second slot on the 200i system, and whether to reuse the slot where the system currently is or build new TNs in a open slot(s).

That would be a single slot card. If you are wanting to look up specifics you want to look up the Mgate card.
