Option 11C 25.40B Callpilot 2.2.
If someone leaves me a message the time stamp is late
by 11 hr. I looked at the callpilot performance monitor and it updates every 5 sec and the time it shows is correct. I tested this by calling my ext and left a message, the light comes on and I retrieve the massage but the time it reports is 11 hr. earlier. any ideas???

this is the second time in less them a month that problem has been posted. the last tech did a reboot and it solved the problem. has to be a tod setting outside of the normal server time and date. your working real time, but time stamp is pre-dated. i would bet some other app is dragging the time, i haven't searched time and date in that app, have you talked to nortel about this. i feel twice in a month means either bad docs or a patch. try setting the time in your cp server ahead 11 hours. see if the time stamp responds to a time shift... maybe that time space warp thing the capt was always talking about.. Just curious, what is the time zone setting for that server (+/- Greenwich time) and the daylight savings time setting?

AZ +7

Ok John how do you change the time in the CP

whole system was rebooted.

Sorry about that it is -7. the time stamp is 10 hr 28 slow.
Last night I rebooted the Callpilot but that didn't make any change in time stamp, so then I rebotted the whole system and thah didn't make a change either. What do I do now. where can I change the time on the callpilot. Does it get it's time from the Option 11?

did you try bumping the time setting on the cp server on by 10:28? just curiuos. mermail time comes from the switch, i thought cp time was a function of the server clock.. this still sounds like a patch

How do I reset the server clock? I have looked every where on the Callpilot but I can't find it.

in any vacant area of the menu , right click and click on adjust time and date. that may be the problem if your clock is not displayed on that menu bar, my cp server is networked and gets it's time from the network, so it stays in sync with the network, i use a script to keep the switch in sync with the network.. (to the 100th of a second)

My server is in the Option 11C. How do I get too it.

If you have a 201i or 200i, then you will need to have a monitor, mouse and keyboard attached to do this. It normally runs "headless" (without monitor), but you might find the mouse and keyboard are attached and tucked away on top or nearby.

it's nice the way nortel does that, you can't put the cover on with the keyboard and monitor plugged in. one of our remote site has that same setup. and no power switch on the cp...

if you are still having the problem with the time stamp issue, please re-run configuration wizard and set the time stamp through there and then reboot.

I haven't found a time stamp in wizard, only time zone.

Time zone is what you need to set in config wizard then complete wizard . reboot. this should clear problem

follow-up, i've had a time zone offset set wronge before but it pushes time in or out in even hours, 3 hours behind or 8 ahead etc. is the install wizard, the only way to adjust the clock? interest being i am turning up my cp in about 2 weeks

Time Zone was set for Arizona, which is right. I used the wizard to chang zone to Central time and rebootedand now the time is right. don't know why be it is.

strange as usual.. next time you have a problem, maybe we need to all face east and chant..

There is a fix for Arizona Time after daylight saving changes in SU03.
