Hi,

I am trying to locate the correct CallPilot Player to use with CallPilot 100, v3.1, to successfully upload Greetings into the Auto Attendant. The CallPilot Player that is included with the install cd is known to not work, but another version apparently does indeed work. Need to know what version works, and where to get it, preferably at no cost!

Thank You!

Never heard of an issue with the player....my 3.1 works fine.

You might have an issue with your version of Call Pilot however.

The latest is 31.10.14.22

Also you must make sure you record as mentioned in the guide.

You save as a WAV with your recorder per below specs then convert using the CP player to VBK

CallPilot 100/150 allows you to import a maximum of 10 minutes of greetings, prompts, or names. The size of the .vbk file cannot exceed 470 KB.

Save recording file as
• Bit Rate - 8 KHz
• Audio sample size - 16 bit
• Channels - 1 (mono)
• Audio format - PCM

Note that it's a hit an miss when using microsoft windows media player to save files , I found using Roxio worked best.

curlycord-Did you use the CallPilot Player from the 3.1 cd? Or did you get it elsewhere? You are the first person that I have heard that has indicated no problem with this feature!

Here is a post from some time ago, mentioning a specific CallPilot Audio Player-

**************HERE IS THE RESOLUTION****************

I found the answer on the NORTEL website on their release notes;

All VBK files must be created using the CALL Pilot Audio PLayer 2.50.06.27.

The version provided on all 3.0 and 3.1 CDs is 2.50.06.17 and this version is incompatible with its software release...this is weird but true.

In addition, IF INSTALLED ALONE...IT WON'T WORK. You must install at least one of the application that comes with it like the Outlook applet.

Then it should work fine, I made it for all my last installations.

SO-My question is, where do I find this version of CallPilot Audio Player?? Got to be available somewhere!

Sorry I meant 31.10.36.22 or 31.10.37.22 are the latest.....37 is Avaya branding only.

I used a 3.1 CD edition but been so long ago....has Desktop Messaging 2.50.06.27.

31.10.23.22 is the CP software that fixed the "known issue".
This is why I wonder what release you have on your CP.

Some seem to think its the player but the player does not Import or Export....the CP does.
The player only converts .wav to .vbk only if recorded correctly as I stated above.

Upgrade your CP software then try to import again.
