Greetings Everyone!

CallPilot programmed for (press 7) outdial. # equals hookflash, but where is the hang-up code. I tried entering a star (feature) plus 89, but that doesn't work.

The # initiates the Hookflash Transfer. If I add another # that just makes it a conference call. I need a hang-up command; or did Nortel drop the ball again?

The client only has 4 trunks and I don't want to tie up two trunks with a feature that shouldn't use any.

Thanks!

Remember that Link Transfer is a Carrier feature not a Norstar feature.

No sure if it works using External Transfer from Mailbox but try it...

This works only if the carrier allows link transfer, most PRI's do not understand Link.
To test if you have the feature call into you system, have somebody try and transfer your call by doing Feature 71 then the number then hang up (or wait until answered before hanging up)

Use Pool 1
In your dial string to add a # you must press #, ADD,#
The first # means you want to enter a special character
ADD mean to add the character
# is the special character to use
If this is what you did try adding in a pause after the #:
Entry - #,ADD,#,ADD,PAUSE,ADD,XXX-XXX-XXXX
Result on display should be - #PXXXXXXXXXX

There is no hangup code. The CP will release the line on its own when using the FLASH (#) code.

In mailbox programming and where you enter the phone number press 542 then the phone number, this only works if they have local link lines..

Per above "This works only if the carrier allows link transfer, most PRI's do not understand Link."

Note it is said that way as it is not called Local Link everywhere as "Local Link" is a package from Bell Canada.

Thanks all for your suggestions. There is no PRI, just 4 loop start trunks and I didn't want to tie up two for an outdial transfer. Several mailboxes have been programmed with this feature; should two be invoked all the trunks would be busy.

I will try and add the command "Wait for Dial Tone" and see if that works. It will be a week before I get back to that location.

Thanks aggain!!!

Another thought.....have the client add lines as needed to do what they want...

If you're changing the number using the TUI then to do a link you have to enter #52 then the phone number
# = next character is going to be a "special" character
5 = enters a #
2 = resume adding digits to the destination phone number
