I have an issue with Callpilot Application Builder version 5.00.41.167. Last week i made a change to one of my applications and i went to undo the change earlier this week only to find out that i could no longer open the application. So i decided to open other applications which some would open and some would not. After much research i checked my File Transfer folder and found nothing inside. One thing i did notice which was interesting is that all folders under D:\Nortel\cust\cust1\nm_abd\uprog were associated with my applications. so as i opened each folder associated with a application (application ID is folder), i noticed that the applications i COULD open only had one folder with two files inside so for instance D:\Nortel\cust\cust1\nm_abd\uprog\1001 would have a folder inside named D:\Nortel\cust\cust1\nm_abd\uprog\1001\0 and inside this folder where two files. 1001.ed and 1001.run. Then i noticed the folder with the application number i COULD NOT open had more then i folder in then. example

D:\Nortel\cust\cust1\nm_abd\uprog\1023\16
D:\Nortel\cust\cust1\nm_abd\uprog\1023\18

and in the 16 folder there were 3 files 1023.ed 1023.rll 1023.run. the 18 folder was blank. Each application i COULD NOT open and its corresponding folder had multiple files.

Has anyone ran into this issue and been able to fix it?

Yes I have the same issue. I have tried various things that have been suggested (like deleting temp files) but nothing works. I am unable to use AppBuilder and have been for a long time - I need to get it working so I can migrate some menus over from our old PBX. I am hoping that 5.1 will fix the issue as it seems that you get a new AppBuilder.
I am running 64 bit Win7 and that might be part of the issue.

This may help you out depending on your OS. AppBuilder is suppose to be backwards compatible so it should work fine with the versions listed.

That didnt work, still having same issue. I cannot even create and new applications. when i try to create a new one application builder just locks up.

I think I would look at the other patches in the server and make sure they are current.

Problem Clarification

There was 77 inconsistant items detected when running the Database Integrity and Repair Tool under Application Builder Tools in Support Tools. 44 of these are coupled with SDNs.
Cause

Corrupted or inconsistant data in Applications.
Solution

From the CallPilot Server, go to Start > Programs > CallPilot > Support Tools
Log in using the Distributor account.
Press 8 for Application Builder Tools.
Press 3 to start the Database Integrity and Repair Tool.
Press Enter to start the tool and review the important notifications.
Click Start.
When tool has completed analysis, any and all applications that show up as Inconsistant Data are either locked or corrupted. If Application is in Red, that means it is corrupted. Black means locked.
Click Repair All. Any Apps coupled with SDNs will show as popups stating that the app needs to be decoupled. This is done by removing the associated SDN from the SDN table.
Once the Apps are repaired, exit the Tool.
Click 5 for Version Checker.
From here, you will see CI>, type repopulate and hit enter. Type Quit.
Press 1 to exit Support Tools and readd all removed SDNs back into the SDN table (if any needed to be removed).
You should now be able to create new and open existing Applications in App Builder

so heres what i did to fix my issue. I was finally able to create a new application. once i had a new application, i went into the

D:\Nortel\cust\cust1\nm_abd\uprog\1023

folder and opened the 1023.ed file with notepad. i copied all the contents in the file to the

D:\Nortel\cust\cust1\nm_abd\uprog\1024.ed file

Now i can open the 1024 file and see all the items in the application from 1023 that i couldn't open.

My solution worked for me and everything is works as was before.
