CallPilot Anti-Virus Recomendations? 1

Hello....we are currently running McAfee 8.0 with EPO on our 4.0 and 5.0 Call Pilot Servers. We have had a lot of issues with the Call Pilot Servers. McAfee 8.5 is not supported with Nortel for their CallPilot Servers. Has anyone had any luck with Symantec or Micro Trend and their CP Servers?

Never had a callpilot exposed to the internet. Never had a problem that required anti virus.

Most of the major Anti Virus programs are supported....The issue is what version of the program are supprted. Example MacAfee 8.1 is supported but 8.5 is not. So its always best to check with Nortel before installing.

Do not use Symantec, there are to may blocks in the program that cause issues on CP. You can check the Nortel web site and enter you keyword and that will give you the list of programs Notel will support on you PC for CP

Our vendor told us to use Trend Micro ... we are experiencing some voice service port issues however ... not sure if that is virus app related or not yet. They put a patch on not long ago and things seem to be going better. But, yes, always check with Nortel on what is supported.
