CallPilot 100 question

Hi experts,
I have voice mailboxes with different numbers than associated intercoms so when the automated attendant answers callers can enter the mailbox number and leave a message without ringing the associated intercom. I.e. mailbox 322 associated with intercom 222. This is great so the phone can say Message For You when messages are left. But I'm having an issue with the Dial-by-Name. Is there any way I can have callers using the dial-by-name directory go directly to the mailbox without ringing the intercom?

Interesting issue....and setup

If mailbox 322 is associated with 222 then 222 will in fact ring unless maybe you have DN Dialing turned off in Table?
If so I guess the Directory is ignoring that setting.

Why cant the employees answer their calls?

That is an interesting setup

MB 322 / DN 222

Caller dials 322 and gets mailbox, caller dials 222 and gets phone. Dial by name dial 222. What happens if you dial by name but there is no DN in the MB or if you only use Alt DN?

Thank you for your input. Setup involves classrooms. Reception needs to be able to contact teachers during class if necessary but don't want parents interrupting. Message for You on phone reminds teacher to check messages. Will have to take the name out of the directory and be sure not offered in automated attendant recording. Have a good weekend!

You could maybe set up a backdoor number with its own AA with the teachers names that only allowed callers to leave messages, not ring the phone. I think you could do that on the CP100.
