We have a used PBX system
MAIN CAB
VERSION 2111
RELEASE 25
ISSUE 40 B +
With call pilot 1.07
I have everything working/communicating between the callpilot and pbx.
Previous company voice mails greeting and options function the way they should except how do I edit them. I can not get the call pilot client to connect(does it need to be on a certain OS,trying XP), am I able to edit within the call pilot server?
Is there a way to retrieve the admin password for resetting mailbox password via phone?

Thanks

WINDOWS 98

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS AND AVAYA

WINDOWS 98 good god.....

Thanks for the reply I'll see what I have lying around the shop.
Where do/should I plug CLAN directly to lap top with 98. Or to a router? and access through network.

off to find 98...

XP and Vista work fine, but you'll need Java 1.5 or lower to communicate with the system. Plug the CLAN cable into a dumb switch and then plug you PC into that same switch. In your IE browser, goto 137.135.128.250 51 or 52, and you should be able to bring up Call Pilot Manager. Try the default user and passwords for Manager. If not, you'll need your local vendor to pop them for you. Good luck.

Does it need to be that IP or was that just a sample? What all has to be installed on the client PC or just the IE browser will get me into the CPManager. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

If you have the passwords, you can get the IP address in the server by going into the Internet Explorer and Config Wizard and looking at what the CLAN side is set to. Don't change anything! Then you can go to your other PC and bring up IE and enter the CLAN IP: (add that period!) Poof! You're in!

In opening my config wizard the dongal is blank and gives a warning, it was there before...updated peps was the only thing I did in trying to get this to work. Can the cpmgr be run within the server?
I'll try reloading the call pilot backup to see if dongal shows up.
so close....

thanks for the help

You can run the Manager from the server, but, not without the dongle. The dongle needs to match the PBX serial number to work. Call the seller.

When I run the config wizard everything shows up except the dongle the dongle is on the board. Is there a way to get it to see it, other than that everything works as it should just that I can't log into the cpmgr. Is there anything I can try or reinstall to get the dongle to showup?

All - Tanman9 indicates this is a Call Pilot 1.07

Must use the fat client installed on a win 98 PC

If the dongle doesn't show up, it's either not there or bad or installed upside down. Another question is whether it's it a 200 or a 201. If It's a 201 and the dongle is not there it will not allow you to log in to call pilot manager. It will run and accept calls, but you will not be able to make any type of change. The dongle looks like a battery on the mother board. It will have nortel on it and the serial number of the callpilot.

Was able to finally reinstall over the weekend and have everything up and running.(dongle/serial numbers shows everything good)
This is a used system...
CallPilot 1.07.09
I have all passwords for server and password to access administration via handset.
Problem is I am unsure/clear as to how to edit/change things mail boxes mailbox passwords etc?
Question is can I run something within the server where callpilot is installed
or
Is my only option to do this is install 98 and install callpilot client and log into server conected directly to the clan or to a dumb switch?

thanks for every ones help with this..

CP 1.07 had a stand-alone Client that needs to be installed on a seperate PC. You can use 98, W2K or XP. If using XP, it must be on SP1 and you'll need to install the client patches.

Once you have the CP client loaded, you'll need to create a site (basically, adding the server IP address to the Client Interface), then login.

login/pwd are default if you just reinstalled CP - info is in the NTP.

The 1.07 client has everything you need to admin the CP server including Application Builder.

Do not use Web browser or attempt to connect with any stand-alone Application Builder software...you're just wasting your time.

Thanks to all that helped me with this,
Once I reinstalled everything my dongle reappeared.
I was able to fix the connection problem, I had my clan and elan reversed in the wizard.

Note
**I was even able to get the callpilot administrator client to work with xp and even windows 7 (with a registry fix)**

Thanks again
