We were running a CP 1.07 on a 201i server when the hard drive failed. We received a replacement drive but lack the 1.07 CDs. I have a few questions regarding how to restore the system. We plan to rip out the existing M1 with CallPilot in the coming year so we aren't interested in upgrading it - we just need it to function until then.
- We have the 1.07 CDs from a 702t server. Can someone verify if these are compatible? There's no mention of them being specific to the 702t server so my guess is that they are. Looking up part numbers for the CDs also have no mention of having different part numbers for the different servers.
- Does anyone recall whether the Windows NT server needs to be installed first? I have the Windows NT CDs and disks along with the CallPilot CDs so I assume that need to be installed first.

That document will be of great help. Thank you.

Even if you got the NT and Call pilot 1.07 OS install, restoring the database is a pain. Unless some one here still remember all the commands.

Forgot to mention that you can't use 702T software, has to be 201i..Good luck.

Yes you need the password to support tools to restore and EOL means no support.

This is the rough procedure for the restore of database on a 1.07. I won't publish the password for 1.07 because of objection to password publication. Unless the moderator of this forum OK's it.

Login in to support tools.
Callpilot 1.07 login
Login name = distributor
Password =

Go to backup & restore in support tools.

Type (listtape primaryservertape) (this takes a while about 5 or 6 minutes)

Device name is primaryservertape

After it gives you the headings on your tape.
Ex. Systembackup (date time)

Type in startrestore ^M
Type in primaryservertape ^m
Type in systembackup (date time)

Type status when the cli prompt comes back to observe backup.
Note: restore can take over 3 hours,on a ipe unit expect 3 ½ hours. It is not done when it says 100 percent. Watch status and wait until all items have been restored and the total kilo bytes restored equal total (items completed =100 % and size completed=100%). The window that says callpilot is executing the boot sequence also comes up.

When backup completes, reboot and run config wizard and reinstall languages.

I have a 1.07.9 ghost that I made of a 201I, It's not as polished as a nortel image cd. But it's a lot faster than following the nortel procedure, if you have a ftp site that I can upload it to I don't mind sharing.

Thanks for your offer Wane47. I will let you know if I decide to take you up on that. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, we didn't have any current backups so we won't be restoring any data. It'll be a fresh rebuild from scratch. Wish me luck. :)
