Is there a way to combine hunt group (both Pilot Point and Hunt Pilot) and call pick up functionality for the same extensions?

Incoming call to pilot point is ringing on phone A (hunt group member).
Colleague (phone B, member of same hunt group) wants to take this incoming call by doing call pick up.

Both lines are member of same call pick up group.

Hi all !

I don't understand the need of call pickup with your example.
You don't have to configure a call pickup in addition to your hunt group if you want to intercept an incoming call.

You just have to configure the time during each phone (member of a hunt group) will ring.

Use Broadcast option in Hunting- When the Pilot DN is rung all the DN`s in the Hunt group will ring if the setting is Broadcast

Yes iptuser but if there are several ip phones in the hunt group all phones will ring in the same time.
Summerdike, just use a circular algorithm and modify the time of ringing in Line group configuration settings in RNA Reversion Timeout.

Goupil16,

That's not the same. In your example the extension waits for it's turn in the algorithm and then will eventually get the call. This might take -too- long, longer the necessary.
I want to give every member in the hunt group the ability to take over any incoming call that's ringing on a hunt group member's phone (of same hunt group).

Summerdike,

Have you tried to define a call pickup group and tried to affect the different lines of your Hunt group in this callpickup group ? (Device>Phone>Line and in Call Forwards parameters)

I had a chat with a guy from Cisco the other day. Call Manager 5 apparently will allow hunt groups, line groups and call pick up groups to work together. At the moment you cant combine the two

What you want is possible with callmanager version 4.1.3SR2.

to configure it the following steps are needed:

1. Enter CSCsb42763 (in mixed case) in the Enterprise Parameter 'Cisco Support Use 1'
under the new group 'Cisco Support use Only' and click update. Only the value CSCsb42763 in this parameter can enable the configuration in step 2.

(note: Change the value to anything else to disable this functionality.)

2. Go to Hunt Pilot Configuration page and select a call pickup group from the Call Pickup Group dropdown list and click update.

I tested it by myself, and it's working fine. I don't think it's supported by TAC.

Thanks PatrickIPT!

How can I find out the service release version of the call manager?

summerdike:

Login to the callmanager using the ccmadmin url and click on the details button

The cisco callmanager version must be 4.1(3)sr2.
