large customer only wants one helpdesk number after business hours.
so: we have a fixed team of 6 persons, which should be called top-down. only one has to answer.
what i'm trying to do, without going to the cells vm box is:
new station, which the customer can call.
station not logged in, coverpath P1 ... P6
P1-> r1
r1 = cellphone 1
etc
coverpath set to 3 rings

but this is not working...

i'm not sure if i can use vdn-vector to more then one extention.

Do you have EC500? You could build (6) NON-DID numbers as Digilo sets and assign the EC500 to each phone. Then put all 6 Diglo sets in a coverage answer group and put the new coverage group (c1) in Pt1; Pt2 voicemail on the main number's cover path. Or, you might be able to build the Diglo sets with cover remote cover paths to the cells and still put those in a coverage answer group. Hope this helps.

As for your original cover: Did you put the access code in the remote cover path, sometimes I forget that. So r1=91XXX-XXX-XXXX. Also, check the COR on your new extension, not sure if that matters or not but worth a shot.

Is the call going to the first programmed mobile number?
If not, then something is wrong in the CM (as gabber4858 points out).

One extra remark:
The system will send the call to the second mobile number when??? When the first mobile does not answer???
How will the system know this??

And does a mobile not always answer a call (by sending the call to the cellphone's voice mail - even when the mobile is not active)??

@gabber4858, we don't have an ec500
I do use the access code, but i'll check the cor

@epalle, hmm good point: i was hoping the system could tell when a phone answers, also in a cov.rem. situation.
if the mobile is on, then i go to point 2 after the #calls i've put in the cov.path
if the the person is busy or the cell is turnt off, the call will go to VM and I'm screwed..

so, what other options do i have?
go to an external commercial provider?

Does that work?? Will the pbx send the call to the 2nd mobile when the 1st mobile does not answer in # rings??
Just asking because I thought the system had no control over the call as it is sent outside the pbx (so pbx has no control on de receiving device).

Buying an EC500 will probably solve it :)
Otherwise, buy 6 mobiles and let them forward calls to each other (Mobile 1 -> Mobile 2 -> Mobile 3 etc).
This will exclude the voice mail and you only need to send the call to the first mobile.
Not a nice solution but it will work.....
Don't know a company who provides this service.

hmm I you're right! P2 will never be reached..

forwards mobile 1-> 2 etc. yes that should work.
So every guy needs an extra mobile..;-(

There is a party who says they can do it for me.
But then again, they also should be able to recognise that a mobile picks up or not, then go to mobile 2.

Yep, but maybe they have an EC500 :)

If I remember well the EC500 can manage that.
I thought it can detect if the vm of the mobile answers but not completely sure to be honnest (I'm not an EC500 expert).

You can definitely use multiple extensions with a VDN vector. If you are still working on this let me know as I currently do the same for my setup here.

@drummel, yes please
I suppose you don't (just) use a line route to number xxx?

3 rings is not enough for call setup on a cell phone!

ACS IP Office or is it ACSS :)

Okay in regards to your situation what are you using for Voicemail. At my location we use Call Express and you can set it so if a user leaves a message it starts calling the cell phones in order of seniority.

My other option is you create a VDN number say 3500 which points to vector 50. In your vector have it route to a virtual number that you created in ASA, say 3501. Then for 3501 create a coverage path which points to a call answer group that you created and put in your list of phone numbers. However it calls everyone on the list at the same time.
