Hi I need to know how outgoing calls are restricted on a md110 bc10

Hi - It's simple but long winded.
there is 15 cdcats
On the number analysis you allocate the cdcats to the numbers dialed.
eg nacds:num=900, cdcat=3&2&1; - International&Nat&local
nacds:num=901, cdcat=2&1; -
allocate cdcat=2 to 902 to 909; -National&local
nacds:num=91,cdcat=; - local calls only.
allocate cdcat=3 to 92 to 93;
When an extension is initiated it is given a 'TRAF' value
eg 01020201 - the third and forth, fifth and sixth digits are the cdcats for night and day. The example Traf would allow only national and local calls.
The Extension parameters can be built into 'common categories'.
exccs cat=2,traf=01020201,serv=xxxx,cdiv=xxxx;
So you can have a common category for 'allowed international call cat=3, national cat=2, local only cat=1;
Hope this helps - the information is available in the manuals.
cheers

Sorry typo in line 7
nacds:num=91,cdcat=1;
line 8
allocate cdcat=1 to 92 to 99
cheers

Rob,
There are a number of ways to do restrict numbers. For your purposes however start by checking to see if the systems you are working on are using Least Cost Routing, this can be done by:
NADAP:NUMTYP=LC;

If this is equal to what they dial to access an external line you will then need to look at the LCR Tables!

Cheers,
