calling party name display includes TN DES data

The information showing on display of called DN is the name created in LD 95 and the DES of phone. Is there a way to get rid of DES. Prob is that whoever initially built phones used user names for TN description so what shows on display is "John Doe:Susy". Looking in Admin guide, shows option SHRT defaut to no. Will changing this to yes fix prob? Didn't want to set until I knew what it did.

NO - deny designator
