Please don't make fun of me. I've been installing IPO for 13+ years but only in the last couple years did I start doing SIP trunks in earnest. And I'm fine with basic configurations. But I have a customer that wants to be able to dial 9 and show their main number (no problem) and also be able to dial 8 to show their DID. I'm having trouble getting this to work properly. Their still using 9.1.6, but everything new I'm installing is R11, so I'll take advice on either.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

use the good old ARS .sxxxxxxx options. send the 9, and 8 calls to different ARS with the options displaying the main number and the DID. Also with SIP are you using internal data or just auto? ARS option should look like:

? .s1234567890 dial 0 OR
N .s1234567890 Dial 0

and for the 8 just use the normal ARS
? . dial 0
N; N dial 0

if you are using internal data the 8 option should then send the numbers in the SIP tab for the users.

In the SIP URI use * as contact info and Local URI, then use S<CLI> in the shortcode to dial out of the trunk like
SC = 9N;
TN = NS<CLI>
Line ID = outgoing ID as set in the SIP URI

and

SC = 8N;
TN = NS<main number>
Line ID = outgoing ID as set in the SIP URI

I use 2 SIP URIs with the same Incoming ID and different outgoing ID.

If I use ID 10 it will use the users SIP tab for CLI information, if I use 11 I can set the URI with the .s shortcode.

We also use Identity Header so even if I send another CLI (or anonymous) the call will still be billed on the calling user.

Thanks all, this advice worked. I appreciate it.
