Hi

We have a problem on our Avaya CM 6.0 regarding the correct sending of the calling number trough the switch, when using EC500
The number of the calling party shows correctly on my 9608 IP phone, but it is replaced with the ISDN main number when my cell phone is allerted

I have done som tracing, and it looks like the calling number is sendt to the public net when the call is transfered, but I am not sure of the format or even if it is sendt

The trunk connection is a ordinary ISDN pri, and the public network provider tells me the services like call deflection and rerouting is ok. I am not sure of this, but I have to prove it in some kind of document describing the correct trace.

Anyone with some more experience who could help me??

Rgds

That is very CO provider dependent as the calling party ID presenting on the outgoing call usually isn't a DID the trunk owns (unless the call is coming from internal). Providers typically have those calls either blocked, for toll fraud reasons, or allow them through but replacing the calling party ID with the main number associated with the trunk.

Depending on the CO provider, you may be able to work something out with them to allow calling party ID going out from numbers that you don't own. You'll have to look at your risks if doing so.
