Good day!

I traced a station when placing a call and going into someones voicemail to leave a message. (We have a 3rd party voicemail system) Apparently the callED party is being passed across the T1 to the voicemail but not the callING party. This causes a problem when the user wants to reply within voicemail. The voicemail doesnt know the number that left the message. It looks like its not getting passed, right?

13:17:21 Calling Number & Name NO-CPNumber Andre Bahris

How do I fix this so the callING party info is passed?

Please help ????

Andre

pg 2 of station form..
Per Station CPN - Send Calling Number
set to y

Thank you.

It was blank and I changed it to Y but it still doesnt work. The call trace says the same thing:

16:19:42 Calling Number & Name NO-CPNumber Andre Bahris

Is there something in the trunk group???

Please help. Thank you.

Andre

On the trunk-group form of the PRI going to your voicemail, set the Send Calling Number to y. It's on the second or third page depending on your release.

We had a similar thing last week and what fixed it was by adding our extension range in public-unknown-numbering 6(length of our extensions) This is our entry :

6(ext length)
372(extn code, first 3 digits of extn as the all start with 372)
99 (voicemail trunk group)
6 (cpn prefix)

When you do a trace it should then show the number.
