Forgive the ignorance, but I am a rookie in disguise, and at the moment would not recognise and overlay if it hit me. One of my Option 11 switches has been set up to forward the main switchboard number, another has been set up to hide its identity. Both set-ups are causing problems to users. Is there any way I can programme each switch to allow individual extensions to forward their personal DDI/DID numbers to the people they are calling? Would this become a permanent arrangement, or could they enter some kind of spre code which would allow the identity to be switched on and off as required?

Hello
when i needed to set this up i had to get our Telco to allow number sending CLID/CLIP in my case BT, then in overlay 15 (i think) i had to change prompt LID to 1 then it worked ok
not aware of a way to turn it on/off at required

do you have PRI? if so you should be able to build what you want in LD15 CLID data

If you get your caller id tables set up correctly, you can set up a CPP code, usually *67 (calling party privacy) to block delivery on your outbound calls on a per call basis. (*67 then 9 + the number). You need to find out if your network provider is passing your clid or sending the billing number of your trunk route. Of course you have to have PRI trunks to send CLID anyway. post further news.
