Calling Line Display when forwarding to external.

I've seen several posts recently with respect to controlling the caller ID as displayed when calls are forwarded externally.

Most of the time the issue is that the caller ID displays the original external caller ID instead of the forwarding stations ID.

With an NSU and IMAT there is a check box that will replace the caller ID. (I'm not sure about embedded, it may be there too)

Replace External CLID.

All that being said, I just saw a tech bulletin that says it is not quite working right. (pasted Below)

MN00206563 - New "Replace External CLID" option does not work as documented.

SYMPTOMS
The Replace External CLID option is documented as follows:

True or False (default False). Checked box indicates True. When checked, any inbound PRI call that is call forwarded to an external destination over PRI will use the forwarded station's number not the calling party's number for CPN substitution or the default CPN if it not in the CPN substitution <default_cpn_substitution.html> form.


In reality is only sends out the default CPN it will not use CPN.

WORKAROUND
Ensure the station that is CFA has a name in the telephone directory.
