HI all,
I have a Merlin Magix system r4.0 with
(2) 412TDLs
(1) Merlin Messaging

I have the Auto attendant anserwing the calls immediately and when the client dials selector code 5 the call goes to Group 771 which has ext's 110,111,112,113,and 114.
The calling group is set as ring all and set to auto login.
The problem I am having is when 1 member is on a call and he is the only one there to accept the calls the other extensions will ring but his won't because he is already on another call.
My question is how do I get his extension or any other ext in the group to be able to accept more than 1 call?
Should I have them set in as auto logout and provide them with a login and logout button?
Will this allow the calls to go to the only one available or will they set in queue?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you Cmo

If the only person "available" is on a call - then the call will go nowhere - just ring until the person hangs up. A member of a Group can only take one call at a time. If they are on a call that rang into the group - they cannot take a 2nd call. So if noone else is there - the Group's phones will ring until the caller hangd up or someone answers.

So - if you want the call to go to somewhere - like voicemail for the group (Mailbox 771) - you need to change the group to a different Hunt Type (not Group Ring - because that type of group will not cover to voicemail). So - either use a Group Type of autologout with login buttons - or autologin.

Set up overflow for the group to the voicemail group for xx seconds - and create a group mailbox - and a message reciever for the group.
