Calling groups and delayed ring

Hello all,
I'm helping setup a Partner system and we've got calling groups set up. What I want to do is have some of the phones in the calling group ring immediatly but if nobody picks up after 3 rings I want the other phones in the calling group to ring. Is this a possibility and if so how do I set it up? I only want to apply this when the calling group is used. Thanks in advance for your help.

Call coverage will not work with calling groups on a Partner, which is what you need.

So there's no way of doing what I want to?

Is there a way to set up Hunt groups to dial calling groups.

Nope, hunt groups cannot contain calling group extensions 71-74.

The only "cascading" routing in a Partner is: delayed ring on inbound CO lines as assigned to stations, call coverage for a single extension to another and transfer recalls from wherever to the attendant.

Nope, no way to do what you need without auxilary equipment. Something like a voicemail that could do supervised transfers would do it.

You can however set o lets say 10,11,12 to ring immediately and set the others 13,14,15,16,and so on to ring delayed on those lines, it's not a calling group but it may accomplish what you need.

try looping an open extension port (in the calling group and set to delayed ring) to an open CO line port then set the extensions you want to ring on the 4th ring to ring immediate on the CO line you selected - will be limited to one call at a time but should accomplish what you are looking to do.
