Calling Group with Operator and Another Extension

Hi Everyone, had nothing but good answers here. I need your advice again!.

Here is my issue, We just bought Avaya 3920 cordless handset and have been planning to use it on extension 0 (10), but for few reasons (no way to setup night button and difficulaty programing) we would like to put extension 0 and same other extension in the calling group, where if extension 0 does not answer call will be forwarded to another extension that will have Avaya 3920 cordless phone on it.

I understand there is no such thing as extension 0, but only 10, what I mean to say is when incoming caller dials operator all he presses 0 and not 10. I just need to make sure calling group can be created between 0 and some other extension.

Just use call cover - Feature 20 from 10 to whatever extension the 3920 is. Set the number of rings in #322

Tommy I have just tried your solution, but for what ever reason it is not working. I have set Feature 20 and set ext 28 (this is cordless phone extension), I have also setup #322(that is remote call forward to "allowed").

I Have also played with VMS rings cover (set to 5 from previuosly 3)

So now when I call extension 10 after 5 rings it just goes to it`s mail box at ext 10.

I also see that if operator were to use feature 20, he would have to select it everytime as once you pickup headset it resets. We would like the calls to always forward to the extension with cordless phone.

Call cover is NOT remote call forward or voice mail cover.

Call cover causes the call to ring at an extension for X-number of rings, then ring at the covering extension (with the display indicating the coverage), and then covering back to the original mailbox.

You must turn it on and off. Putting it on a button with lights is the best way, so you have a light to remind you that the feature is enabled. If you only cover to the same extension every time, it will be a "push-on/push-off" button. If you cover to different extensions, you will touch the button and dial the extension that will be covering. Touch the button again, and dial your OWN extension number to turn it off.

Control the number of rings before it goes to the covering extension in #320-XX-N. (Sorry, I typed in the wrong code above)

Program the button as Feature-20-(Your extension number)-(Covering Extension)
