Calling Group / Voice Mail

I have several restaurants using Partner ACS 7.0 with Partner Voice Mail (large)cards. We have set up autoattendant. I have set 2 extensions (14 and 23) to be in calling group 72 - and a prompt on the selector code to transfer a call to ext 72. Both extensions ring as desired.

I cannot figure out a way to get an unanswered call into a voice mail box, however.
 
With the PC Card mail, the only way to get the call to a mailbox is loop another extension to a spare CO port, add that extension to the calling group, and then make a mailbox the call coverer of the CO line.

Or, plug a simple answering machine into one of the 2 phones, or another extension port added to the group.

Physically, you connect an unused extension jack to an unused line jack. There is some programming to do along with that, but the physical portion is very easy.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
 
OK.. so I physically need to jumper a unused line in jack with an unused extension jack?
 
Run a line cord from an unused extension to an unused CO port.

Let's say it's Ext. 18, and CO-5

Remove all line appearances from Ext. 18 (#301)
Add Ext. 18 to the calling group (#502)
Assign CO-5 to the extension who's mailbox will be covering (#301)
You can make the line have Delayed Ring through Centralized Telephone Programming
Make CO-5 Incoming Only on the extension that will cover it(#302)
Make that covering extension own CO-5 (#208)

Call comes in. Hits the Auto Attendant. Caller select the group, 14, 23, and the unused extension ring at the same time. When not answered, the mailbox for the covering extension answers.

Note that this is one call at a time.
