Any help is greatly appreciated! I have a calling group #152 and it works fine, except voicemail does not pick up for it:

I have the calling group set to overflow to ext. 777 which is our voicemail, but when I look at the coverage group 30 (which is voicemail) I can see all the extensions listed on the right hand side, but my calling group #152 is not in there. It's also not listed on the right-hand side as an available extension?

Is there any reason why this group would not be available to have VM? Thanks!

Is it a "Group Ring" type of hunt group? If so, it will not cover to voicemail - unless you use a looparound trick. If not a "Group Ring" type, do you have a voicemail box set up for the group in voicemail admin? If not - you need to set one up and pick a group member or someone else to be the message receiver for that group's voicemail box - which means a message left for the group will light that person's message light. If thois is a Merlin Messaging - you also have to tell voicemail that the group extention "has a phone".

Beacuse it is a CALLING GROUP, and OVERFLOWS to Voice Mail, you can not assign it to the COVER GROUP, nor do you need to.

However, as Tom explained, you do have to have a MAIL BOX for it in voice mail.

This is what the calling group 152 should look like

Thanks everyone! It's working ok. What had happened was that I renumbered a member of the calling groups phone (b/c they had a old POTS line and needed a digital multi-line phone where I could program a log-in/log-out button for the calling group)

So I had to renumber their ext. to an empty ext., then renumbered a new line to their old ext. So I renumbered 192 to 101, then a new ext. to 192. But what I didn't realize was that ext. 101 was now in the calling group and presumably logged in, so that when I called the calling group, it thought this ext. that wasn't physically ringing anywhere was logged and so it just kept ringing this ext.

Once I removed ext. 101 from the calling group, the VM picked up as it should.

Thanks!
