In Excel it is possible to create User-Defined Functions. Is it possible to do the same in Access? I have tried but Access keeps telling me the function is undefined even though I have created the module properly.

Without seeing your query or code it is hard to determine the problem. But here is the way I do it.

In the Query

MyField: fun_GetAnswer([tablename].[field name])

FUNCTION:

Public function fun_GetAnswer(passedValue as String) as string

The above would need to be modified to handle datatypes and multiple parameters as needed with more information I can be more specific.

Good Luck
