calling DID internally and externally

I hope this doesn't get too long to explain.
We have now 2 did ranges 123.1234 and 124.1234. My IDC table is in this form - idgt xxxx ext xxx.
When an external caller calls either of the did range numbers, the correct extension is rung. if an internal caller calls on-net (7110)124.1234 it doesn't work. if they call (7110)123.1234, they get 124.1234, that is of course, if range 123 and 124 don't have the same last 4 digits (which is the case, none of the last numbers are the same)
I hope somebody can make sense of my explanation -
if they call on-net they have to dial 123.1234 when their number is 124.1234

print your idc table and ld 87 prt hloc and lsc's

sounds like hloc or an lsc is your old exchange

according to 553-3001-311
ld 87
prt
feat (I picked cdp as the response)
type (I picked lsc, dsc, and tsc as the response)
enter at the prompt
none (this is what was returned)

what am I doing wrong here?

you are not doing any thing wrong.

and internally you say you can't dial 124.1234

can you dial 1234?

are you using tie routes, if so check to make sure that the
rdb is not somehow inserting 123
and make sure whatever switch you the tie lines are connected to are not inserting 123.
now that you have 2 nxx(exchange codes) the other switch willneed those ranges and insert the approriate codes.

i can't tell with out printouts rdbsld 21 , idc ld 49
and net ld 21 and esn ld86

Why not apply the same IDC tables that you use for your external routes on these point to points?

nortic,

correct, i have to dial 123.1234 to get 124.1234

don't know about 1234,(never thought of checking that)
we use 3 digit ext codes, if that helps.
will check monday morn, and try to get the prt's you're asking about.
can you clearify what list you want?

ld 21 prt rdbs ?
ld 49 prt idc ?
ld 21 net ?
ld 86 esn ?

thanks

is 14 a new did route? it has no idc entry?
if this is for a new block of dids would't you need an idc table for it to translate?
there is no modifications of digits in bound on tie lines
are the onnet calls comming across tie lines?

whatever is there, has been there for awhile, I haven't added anything

I'm going to quess, yes. We are connected to the corp office with a T1, with 6 channels allocated to voice.

YOU CAN USE CALL TRACE (LD 80)

HAVE SOMEONE PLACE AN ONNET CALL TO AN EXT HAVING THE PROBLEM
AND THEN TRACE THE CALL TO SEE WHAT ROUTE IS USED,

TRAC TN(ie 4 0 02 0)NOTICE THE "DIAL DN" FIELD

THIS SHOULD TELL YOU IF THE CALL IS COMMING ACROSS TIE LINES
IF IT IS (ORIGINATING TN)
THE SYSTEM ON THE OTHER END OF TIE LINES WOULD BE WHERE THE MODIFICATION NEEDS TO BE MADE. 123 VS 124
HOPE THIS HELPS,

FOR YOU INFO, YOU CAND LIST TRUNK MEMBERS IN LD 21 TO SEE IF YOU ARE USING ALL YOUR ROUTES
