Callers get endless ring

Hi everyone,

Every 10th and 12th caller to the call center at my office gets an endless ring while everyone else go through to the IVR perfectly?

I have checked all the groups, and errors I can think of and cant find anything that would explain this.

I have a definity G3R8, and I am NOT an expert on this! :)

Any ideas?

I would look at the queue size for the IVR hunt group.
 
Hi,

I increased the queue size, but no joy.
If I call the 877 number the IVR will pick up the first 7 times, the 8th it will ring only, then when I redial it picks it up again, until I redial for the 12th time...

I have no idea. :(

Have you checked the IVR config? You may have assigned a different IVR to some of the inbound channels (i.e. 8 and 12) on that one inbound number. Can you post more details on the IVR - make, model, function, entry and exit points, etc?
 
Have you statused the incoming trunk to see if there is a member out of service?

Hi orypecos,

I have checked the incoming trunk group, and indeed there was 3 members out of service, I took them out of the trunk group, I believe that the problem will not go away until I add at least one more working member.

If the trunks from the LEC are defective, removing them from the trunk group will not solve the problem. They are in a hunt-group in the CO and it will keep hitting the bad trunks until they are fixed or removed from the hunting.
