Hi,

A friend has a small retail shop using an ACS release 3, one Partner 18D and a few 6s.

I was able to set up the 18D to log all the CallerID data.

Now I would like to add a Radio Shack CallerID box to one of the Partner 6 AUX ports.

I haven't been able to get the Radio Shack box to receive the CallerID data.

Anyone know how?

Thanks,

Siri Das

sorry, you can't. only system phones with display get caller id through the acs system.

Hi Siri,
Yep, you must get the caller ID info on the line before the system, or give him a P18D.

The only way I can figure out how to get a caller ID adjunct to work with a Partner setup, (assuming running additional wires wouldn't be a problem), would be to mount a regular RJ-11X jack where the Caller ID box is to be located, run a standard 2 pair wire back to the Bell demarc, select the POTs line you want to capture call records from and then wire the new jack to the Bell demarc, parallel to the jack that the Partner system is plugged into. You will now have the ability to connect up the adjunct to check caller ID info.

Other than that, using an 18D phone set is the quickest & easiest way to get caller ID.

Also you can't log calls with a "MLS" phone. Make sure you use a "Euro" style display phone.
On a side note. The 6 button non display phone will be discontinued and replaced with a 6 button display in the near future.

Hey 1043,
Really!? Cool. I hope they change the style to something like a TDL set.

Good to hear that Avaya is making an effort to update the 6 button phone! [thumbsup2]
