caller on the phone tone

We have upgraded from a system 75 to IP 500 unit. I have one feature that i cannot find that we had with the system75, When a caller called and the user was on the phone we heard a ring busy tone. Now we only hear a ring and the caller does not know if the user on the other end is one the phone or just not there. Can a ring busy tone be configured on the ip office?

Probably call waithing is turned on so you will not get busy tone
If you have 5410 or 5420 or the 5610/21 then you can make a button for the user you want to see BLF ( busy lamp field)
If he is on a call you will see that on your phone

Or if the system uses DS54XX phones
Reduce the number of Call appearance keys to 2 (5410 or higher)
and put a tick in Reserve Last CA on the telephony tab for each user

also untick voicemail for the user.

a good feature for ip office would be the ability to direct external calls to voicemail but give internal busy.
 
And also visa versa TT. I have a couple of customer (and someone posted here recently) wanting internal to go to vm and external get busy!

Setting muliple groups/DDI'd into night service with one button is another bug bear of mine. I know this can be done but I find it rubbish.
