Caller ID 1

Hi Guess,
Forgive me but I am new to Avaya Systems and I am trying to figure out how to stop sending our Company number out on the PRI. I have tried the following:

CHA TRUNK-GROUP - send calling number n
CHA STATION - Per Station CPN - Send Calling Number? n

Any ideas?

The simple and easy way call the carrier and ask them to block it.

I thought of doing that but I would like to stop individual extension numbers instead....Can that be done?

What I have done to stop sending individual extension numbers is changing the 'Per Station CPN - Send Calling Number' flag to 'N'. This is found on page 2 of the station info. Of course, I've had to do this on all extensions.

Now, it just shows our main number when dialing out from those extensions.

That's a great question. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to that. My guess is that it would have to be blocked by the carrier, but don't hold me to that.

I tested this with my cell phone and got caller id unavailable from my extension but the caller id was passed from another.

change isdn public-unknown-numbering Page 1 of 8 SPE B
ISDN NUMBERING - PUBLIC/UNKNOWN FORMAT

As suggested I did the following:

Ext Ext Trk CPN CPN Ext Ext Trk CPN CPN
Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len

4 1234 0000 4


But I also had to add the 'cpn-blk' button on my 4620 IP phone. So when I hit the 'cpn-blk' and dial out my extension is blocked.

this wil restrict the cpn.
and then u are done.
