3.1 General implementation instruction
The CNA files are used for automatic update by the SAM toolbox ESD (Ericsson Software Distributor) application (For more information see ESD manual). Following steps should be done:
1. Copy all .cfg files, which are placed in subdirectories .. bc11xx.SP8 esd helpfile.*, to the Distribution files (.CFG, .INI) path defined in Options Settings.
2. Set up the job in the ESD by choosing menu item Job list>New >Job list file and follow the Job Wizard.
a. ESD tool can be used if the customer's exchange data are entered into the customer database which is administrated by Customer Database Administrator.
b. Select file bc11sp3tosp8xx.cfg for upgrading from SP3 to SP8, bc11sp4tosp8xx.cfg for upgrading from SP4 to SP8 or bc11sp5tosp8xx.cfg for upgrading from SP5 to SP8 or bc11sp6tosp8xx.cfg for upgrading from SP6 to SP8 or bc11sp7tosp8xx.cfg for upgrading from SP7 to SP8(xx stands for Application system version e.g. st for standard system).
c. Select Continue without firmware switching. Firmware switching shall be done after system upgrade.
3. After Job Wizard is finished, choose menu item Update > Start. ESD will now upgrade the system automatically.
4. Check the result of the system upgrade with MD Inventory Tool. Reference .mcc is placed in subdirectories .. bc11xx.SP8 esd mcc refsp8xx.mcc. (For more information see MD Inventory Tool Manual)
3.2 Special implementation instruction

Program units RHH revision R4D is part of relevant CNA package and is placed in the directory .. bc11xx.SP8 Manual actions.Manual PU upgrading procedure must be done according to the following steps:
1. Transfer RHH program unit to HDU. (Path .../SES/DR/ADD/P for RHH.P and .../SES/DR/ADD/D for RHH.D For more details see Operational directions/File Administration 1/154 31-CNA 103 329 Chapter 6.5 Create directory and Chapter 6.15 File transfer from a V.24-port into the system / MD Disk Tool manual concerning file transfer).
2. Remove all RA software data.
3. Remove old RHH program unit from the PABX (For more details see Operational directions/Loading - 4/154 31-AND 102 02 - Chapter 6.1 Removing program unit.).
4. Add new RHH program unit (For more details see Operational directions/Loading - 4/154 31-AND 102 02 - Chapter 6.2 Adding program unit.).
5. Execute general implementation procedure described in Chapter 3.1.
6. Reinitiate all RA software data.
7. Make a system dump.
3.2.3 Service Pack 6
This instruction is only valid for Application system Netherlands.
Program units RHH revision R4D is part of relevant CNA package and is placed in the directory .. bc11xx.SP8 Manual actions.Manual PU upgrading procedure must be done according to the following steps:
1. Transfer RHH program unit to HDU. 4.3 Updated FW
Firmware switchover can cause traffic disturbance so it should be done during the period of low traffic. Firmware files are loaded in system during automatic upgrade procedure and stored under /SES/DR/FW directory on HDU (note: only FW which can be later loaded from by the means of I/O commands). In CNA package FW files are placed in subdirectory ../bc11xx.SP8/esd/Firmware.
Firmware switchover for the equipment should be done according the instructions in document Operational directions, configuration of board level software, downloading - 6/15431-CNA103 256.
Note: In NIF R10A no conversion from small to capital letters are performed. Files that shall be handled by the ASB 501 04 must be typed in capital letters.

Program units RHH revision R4D is part of relevant CNA package and is placed in the directory .. bc11xx.SP8 Manual actions.Manual PU upgrading procedure must be done according to the following steps:
1. Transfer RHH program unit to HDU. (Path .../SES/DR/ADD/P for RHH.P and .../SES/DR/ADD/D for RHH.D For more details see Operational directions/File Administration 1/154 31-CNA 103 329 Chapter 6.5 Create directory and Chapter 6.15 File transfer from a V.24-port into the system / MD Disk Tool manual concerning file transfer).
2. Remove all RA software data.
3. Remove old RHH program unit from the PABX (For more details see Operational directions/Loading - 4/154 31-AND 102 02 - Chapter 6.1 Removing program unit.).
4. Add new RHH program unit (For more details see Operational directions/Loading - 4/154 31-AND 102 02 - Chapter 6.2 Adding program unit.).
5. Execute general implementation procedure described in Chapter 3.1.
6. Reinitiate all RA software data.
7. Make a system dump.

4.3 Updated FW
Firmware switchover can cause traffic disturbance so it should be done during the period of low traffic. Firmware files are loaded in system during automatic upgrade procedure and stored under /SES/DR/FW directory on HDU (note: only FW which can be later loaded from by the means of I/O commands). In CNA package FW files are placed in subdirectory ../bc11xx.SP8/esd/Firmware.
Firmware switchover for the equipment should be done according the instructions in document Operational directions, configuration of board level software, downloading - 6/15431-CNA103 256.
Note: In NIF R10A no conversion from small to capital letters are performed. Files that shall be handled by the ASB 501 04 must be typed in capital letters.

In BC 11 does it have to be thru an OMR doesnt the China version has CLI functionality.
My customer wants MD110 with CLI what do u suggest guys.
Customer has BC 9 and wants more most likely it be BC 11 now and he wants CLI on both how can we help.

I think the best way to get some answers is to get your serviceprovider to take this up with their account manager in Ericsson.
I'm pretty sure CLI on analoqe don't exist in BC9 .
( but of course it could also exist as OMR for other markets than your own)
